Store-bought Cages
A pet store cage usually isn't enough to house 2 guinea pigs. C & C cages are so much better!
C & C Cages
These cages are built by you into whatever size and shape you want. You just order the coroplast and correx online or at your local sign shop. I recommend these cages, because you can order whatever size you want. You can look up what sizes are minimum for how many piggies.
Bedding
When choosing a bedding for your piggy, make sure it is soft and eliminates odors. It should be absorbent as well. I use Carefresh, because it is comfy and absorbent, eliminating odors along the way!
Remember to never use wood shavings or saw dust for bedding.
Fleece
Fleece bedding is the utmost comfortable bedding, period. It is basically a blanket, and you can buy it really anywhere (store). I recommend this bedding because it is easy on your piggy's feet and most of them are absorbent. You have to wash them everyday though, and make sure no Timothy hay or droppings are in the washing machine.
Outdoors
I wouldn't really recommend this place, unless you have a shady hutch, and even then, please make sure the weather or animals can't harm your cavies.
Exercise
Your cavy can exercise either outdoors or indoors. For inside, use a small area, and lay out towels and veggies (veggie hunt!) on the floor. (maybe even some hidey-holes.) Outside, you can have a big hutch for them, or have them on open grass. Make sure the grass is pesticide and animal-dropping free. Always watch your guinea pigs. They should be out 3-5 hours a day. After they eat or go on a veggie hunt, they'll run around and play after they get used to being out of their cage.
Environment
Make sure your piggy has enough toys and such to keep him/herself busy! And make sure she/he's with another piggy, too! (make sure they are same gender or boar is neutered.)
