Grooming

Bathing
Make sure you have all of the materials you need by you for use.

Gorgeous Guineas Shampoo (most effective, but you can use animal shampoo, too.)
A couple of towels
Bathtub/Sink filled 1 inch deep of warm water
Small bowl

First, fill up the bathtub/sink with 1 inch deep warm water.
Second, place your guinea pig in the water.
Third, using the small bowl, dump water on your cavy's hair. (avoid face and ears)
Fourth, rub shampoo on piggy.
Fifth, place piggy on towel and wait for 3 minutes.
Sixth, put her back in water and pour water on her until it's all rinsed out. (using small bowl.)
Seventh, place piggy on towel and dry him/her.
Eighth, drain water.
Repeat until each pig has gone.
(for boars, put Gorgeous Guineas on rear before bathing. Read instructions for applying. You can find their site at Products.)
Brushing
If you have a guinea pig brush, make sure you take all the tangles and knots out of your piggy's fur. If your pig has long fur, do this daily, and do this after every bath.
